Let’s flashback to January-February 2005. I got a call from a friend who wanted to know if it was alright to give someone my phone number. Said person was talking in a vampire chatroom and looking to hire an artist to do some graphics work for their website. I took the phone call and found out that they wanted a 3D spokesmodel for their vampire website. They were full of all sorts of questions about what I could do and what could I make the model look like. I told her that I could indeed make it look quite a lot like her with a food photo or two and that I could do it pretty cheap (cheaper than most anyway) for her. The deal was made, price agreed upon and specifics about the spokesmodel sent. Many chats and e-mails of the work in progress later, she sent me a money order for the price we agreed on and my 3D work was prominently displayed as part of the navigation bar. I had already signed on to her website and she told me that she would display my other work if I had any more that would fit with the theme of the website. We got into many chats and then long phone calls. Long story short, I am now married to Mistress Ariana from thevampireslair.com and I’ve been keeping the 3D spokesmodel up to date with all the changes the site has been through.

I got the idea for this piece after watching “Thirt33n Ghosts” one evening. I was thinking that the ghost of the suicidal model would make a cool pinup. That lead me to the play on words “Pinup Ghoul” from pinup girl. I decided to make a series of images of various types of pinup ghouls. I played around with the materials in poser trying to find a quick and easy method to add cuts and scars to a model without making new texture maps. I stumbled across this method and was very pleased with the results. I made a model look like her skin is sloughing off and rotting in places but I only used my usual female model texture map with a LOT of prodecural materials attached in interesting ways.

This particular Pinup Ghoul is a reanimated BDSM model. She died in a rather nasty “work-related” accident involving acid. She was unfortunate to take on a new client who turned out to be a serial killer with a penchant for disfiguring his victims with acids and fire. We discovered her freshly killed body and went to work immediatly getting her back to her chosen vocation. Now she’s one of our exclusive models and we keep her busy indeed. Here you see her in one of our unused storerooms attempting to convince us to let her have it. She wants it to keep her former captor in. Lets just say that her hobbies involve knitting needles used in a VERY unconventional manner.

I am currently looking into some kind of solution for having a gallery of my work here. I’ll be putting up wallpapers that will be free to download. Most of them will feature pinups and designs that are at our store for purchase. I’ll put them up as soon as I figure out the best way to do so. Until I come up with a solution for a static gallery I’ll prolly just put them in individual posts. Comments and suggestions welcome.

I’ve decided that I’m not really happy with the way this blog looks so I’ll be mucking about with it for a while. I’ll let ya’ll know when I’ve found a look I like. Feel free to comment and let me know if you know of a wordpress theme that would suit me or if you have ideas or suggestions of things to add.

Somebody wanna explain to me how a conservative, arrogant, technologically and economically inept country can still be considered a “world power”? There once was a time when this country was on the cutting edge of technology and it’s people had access to the best of everything that science had to offer. We were a powerful entity in regards to technology, military and economics. We really were the “promised land” that many immigrants flocked to. Nowadays we still have the military technology but that’s kinda IT. You really think that American companies are leaving for nothing but cheap labor? LOL, damn have they pulled the blinders down tight on you. They get a lot more than just cheaper labor in some countries. They get exclusive trade agreements, tax breaks, land to develop, larger markets (markets that aren’t falling apart), and other perks. This country is going down the tubes faster and faster every year. Yes, we need the social programs that the Democrats are always screaming about, but we also need to do our damndest to keep companies in the country. This country is circling the drain and you people are more concerned with whether or not gays should get married? When the fuck did religious or moral descisions ever fall into the jurisdiction of government anyway? The government needs to spend it’s time dealing with trade agreements and unemployment rates, they don’t have time ( or the right IMHO ) to decide whether I should be allowed to get stoned, rent porn and hire a prostitute. You wanna DO something? VOTE Libertarian! Viva La Resistance!
