I know I haven’t blogged in a while, I just haven’t been spending much time online these days. I’m recovering (or at least trying) from a bad cold. At least I think it’s a cold, I’m not sure. All I know is that something nasty settled into my chest and stomach. I have been coughing like nuts the last few days. It’s getting old really fast. With any luck I’ll feel better very soon.

I’ve been doing a lot of crocheting lately. I’m pretty proud of the work I’ve done. I finished a really nice white Paris Stitch vest. I invented the patter, then made it happen. It’s quite nice. I also created a pattern for a skirt using a combination of double-crochet, triple-crochet and star stitches. I need one more ball of thread to finish it, but what I’ve got done so far looks great. I’m also working on a new sweater using a Tulip stitch in this great burgundy yarn. It’s coming out really well so far. I’m happy about all of these items because not only is my stitchwork coming out beautifully, I’m inventing these patterns from scratch, and they’re actually coming out really well.

I’m doing pretty well with the smoking thing too. I haven’t managed to totally quit, but I’m down to 1-4 a day, which is awesome progress in my book. I mean, I’ve been smoking off & on since I was about 14, so this is really good. If I can keep myself busy, the urge for smoking becomes less, hence the focus on crocheting lately. Can’t really smoke with a hook in your hand.

As for the rest of life, not much is going on. Still working on the self-improvement thing. I’m planning on hooking up with a friend to get some help in that department. I’m hoping to learn to meditate and focus better, I think it could help me a lot. I’m also looking forward to my birthday. I don’t know if I’ll be doing anything or going anywhere yet, but I’m excited at the thought of wonderfull prezzies from all you folks that love me so much And just so you all have ideas, I’ve updated my so that you know what I’m into. I’ve taken a bunch of stuff off it, but I left the things on it that I’m really interested in. But I don’t need to remind anyone really, do I? You all love me and remembered my birthday and probably already have gifts ready for the big day I know that this year is going to be a good one. It won’t be like all the other years where I don’t get any calls or even a card. This year I know everyone will remember me. This Halloween/birthday/anniversary is going to be great. I just know it is.
