Well, with Eric out of work, we’ve gotten into a bit of a financial bind. We’ve got November’s bills covered, but December is another story, and we’re pretty much out of cash for stuff like gas, bird food and that kind of thing. In an attempt to get some money in to hold us over until Eric gets more work, I’ve put up some more auctions. I made 3 different packs of desktop wallpapers that Eric and I created. At only $1 each, I know that people can afford them, and getting some to sell shouldn’t be an issue. I hope you’ll all go take a look and pick something up. I also have a rack of earrings in a nearby coffee shop, but the downloads are infinite, so I figured they were a good thing to offer since they’ll never run out. My poetry is also still available for sale to anyone who’s interested.
Here are the links to the auctions:
The Dark Side of My Mind by Briana Blair – Poetry
8 Desktop Wallpaper Backgrounds by Eric Peacock
8 Desktop Wallpaper Backgrounds by Briana Blair
8 Desktop Wallpaper Backgrounds by Briana Blair 2

Any purchases are greatly appreciated.

Man… It’s been a while since I posted. I just wanted to let everyone know what’s been going on lately.

Well, as some of you already noticed, I’ve changed my layout. It was a challenge trying to get what I wanted, but I finally got just what I was going for. I made a new image of myself, recolored the other images that I used, made my first custom contact box, used Alpha transparency for the first time, and made and used my first semi-transparent PNG. So it was a cool learning experience. I still need to update my blog archive, but I’ll get to that later.

I had a pretty good birthday too. I decided to take a couple days away from the house and spent some time with friends. It gave Eric and I some time apart, and it was good. I got to hang with my friends, one of whom is a crafter too, and we’ve figured out a way to be working together, which is very cool and might help me make some more money. It’s also just cool to hang out with someone and craft together.
The Secret did some work for me while I was away too. I only got 2 gifts other than what Eric did for me (I’ll get to that in a minute), and it was $20 from my MIL, and one other thing. Well, I had been wanting a new wardrobe, and lo and behold, while on our way home, my friends stopped at a consignment store, and I found a brand new pair of gorgeous leather boots and a like new great leather jacket… for a total of $16! It was awesome. The other gift I got was this snuggly awesome pair of pajama bottoms from the friend I was staying with. So, more clothes! It didn’t even hit me until late that night. I wanted something, I put out my request, then I let it go, and it came to me! I guess my methods are working after all! :)
Now, the thing that Eric did for me… He made me this cool spooky dinner spread. It was neat. He did “wood chipper victim” pork and apple barbecue, “brain matter” mac & cheese, “goblin finger” beans, “dragon’s blood” dip, and I forget what he called the chicken. It not only looked creepy, but it all tasted great. I so love having a man that cooks well! *hugs babe* Oh, and before I forget, the Jack Skellington musical card from Betty was very cool. Loved that!

Other than that, other things have been coming to me too. I have been wanting to find a way to make some money off all the cassettes and paperback books I have here, without needing to list them on auction again. While I was at the consignment store, I found out that they will be taking those kinds of things later this month, so I can finally get them out of here and turn them into some money. I also met a very interesting lady while I was away, and she was interested in helping me get my poetry officially published! If you read my last blog, you know that I just put my poetry back out as an e-book, so this is great too. I would love to be able to see my book sitting on a shelf at Barnes & Noble or Walden Books. That would just be too cool. I have to call her soon and get her a copy of my work and talk to her more.

I kinda fell off the wagon on the not smoking thing. I’ve decided to not beat myself up about it though. I have still cut back, which is, in itself, an improvement. When the time is right to quit for good, it’ll happen. But I’ve been doing pretty good otherwise. I haven’t been having as many of those killer headaches, the cough is almost gone, and I’m just feeling a lot better about life.

Well, I guess I’ve rambled off long enough for today. Until next time…
