Some days are harder than others when it comes to writing content that is enriching to the world. Sometimes I fall a bit short, but I always do my best to write pieces that I feel add a little something to the world, even if how they do so only makes sense within my own head.

I do believe that what I’m doing is part of a cycle. It’s a cycle that I am doing my best to perpetuate, not only within my own life, but within others. It starts with writing the good. Not writing “good” content in the subjective way, but writing content that I believe adds some good to the world. Whether I’m educating, entertaining, making people think or whatever, the first step is creating content that I feel is good for the world in some way. This of course can be applied in other lines of work besides writing.

The second part is feeling good. If I can’t feel good about anything else that happens in my day, I want to feel good about my work. since I write, I refer to step one and try to write beneficial content. When I feel good about my work it makes me feel better about everything else. A good work day can actually uplift a day that’s not so good otherwise.

The final step is attracting good. I believe that this isn’t so much of a step, but more of a natural result of the other two parts of the cycle. When I love and enjoy what I do, and I feel good about my work and the rest of my life, I attract good into my life. I believe I can also attract good into others lives. If I make them smile or think or grow, then I’m helping them to draw more positive experiences into their day.

So even when I’m having a rough day, I try to implement this three part process. For me, it creates a positive focus that helps me do what I do and have faith that things will keep getting better for myself and for the rest of the world. I do take some joy in imagining what the world would be like if more people took this approach. Can you imagine if everyone worked with the intention of making the world better, loved and took pride in their work, and believed in attracting good to themselves and others? I think the shift would be truly amazing.
