Another week has gone by, so it’s time for my yoga update. Unfortunately, this week has been fairly uneventful.
I have been using the Insight Timer so that people on my social networks can see that I’ve been keeping up my routine. I did miss a couple days, but in my defense, I was doubled over in pain for one of those days. Overall though, using the timer is working for me. I like that there are milestones and achievements in the app, so it’s a little more motivation to keep going.
I’ve been doing a lot of stretching, and I’m starting to see some improvement. I can bend forward and my fingers reach farther down my shins. This is good! I’m also feeling less tight in other place. I’m still not really limber yet, but I am getting better, and I’m really happy about that.
It’s weird how stiff and crackly my joints get when I miss a day. Yet another motivator to keep going. I don’t like that crunchy, old feeling. I like feeling younger and more mobile. That’s pretty much the whole point of all this. I want to be healthier, more fit and feel more youthful.
I’ve also been working on my balance more. I really have none. I always feel like i’m going to fall down if one foot is off the floor even a little. I’ve been working on that a bit every day so that hopefully my feet and ankles will get stronger and I’ll find my balance. I know I’m going to need it if I want to some of the yoga in those videos I collected.
